Arrive Alive Project

Arrive Alive...it's a whole vibe!
Registration for the 2025 Arrive Alive Project is now open! The project, in partnership with Virginia State Police, Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles, and State Farm, is a peer-to-peer initiative to promote young driver and passenger safety behaviors among youth and teens during the high-risk warm weather months.
According to statistics, the months between May and September are the most dangerous for young drivers. During this time period, teens tend to engage in more risky driving behaviors, putting them at risk to be involved in a traffic crash.
Arrive Alive registration is FREE and includes FREE educational materials, incentive items, project ideas, and resources on seat belt safety and speed prevention! Through Arrive Alive, YOVASO’s goal is to reduce crashes, injuries, and fatalities among young drivers, passengers, pedestrians and bicyclists during the high-risk spring and summer months through educational and awareness programs conducted by youth and teens.
Schools and youth groups may participate anytime March 3 – May 31, 2025. Although the project is a statewide competition for prizes, schools and youth groups may elect to participate without competing. All levels of participation are encouraged and even the simplest of activities help YOVASO reach and impact young lives!
For more information on the 2025 project, refer to the Letter to High School Partners or Letter to Middle School Partners.

Final Evaluation and Seat Belt Check Result Forms:
All Arrive Alive competing and non-competing schools and youth groups are required to complete a final report. Without final reports, YOVASO cannot evaluate the effectiveness of the project which is a requirement for reapplying for future project funds. Any school or youth group (competing or non-competing) is also asked to submit the results of pre and post seat belt checks, if conducted. Links for all three reporting forms are below. Thank you!
