The winter can be a very dangerous season to travel. With wet, snowy, and icy conditions, drivers should always be alert and paying attention behind the wheel. At YOVASO we always say “Ice and snow…take it slow!” It’s a short and simple reminder to slow down when weather conditions make driving more dangerous. However, you should try your best to stay parked in bad weather, but if you have to drive for some reason, keep the safety tips below in mind.
Stop using cruise control in wet, snowy, and icy conditions.
Add extra time to your travels during the winter season so you aren’t tempted to speed.
Frost develops often on the windshield in the winter, so make sure to scrape it off before you go!
Every month check the vehicles tire pressure to decrease the chance of getting stranded with a flat tire.
Take the time to increase your stopping distance and reduce speed on slick and snowy roads.
Young drivers may have less experience behind the wheel, but smart choices can keep them safe!
From your friends at YOVASO, please buckle up and drive safely this winter!
