Getting students involved with events going on in your club and the community can be a difficult task especially with homework, projects, sports, and other commitments going on in their school life. Also, it can be hard to get students motivated with what your club has planned. A fantastic way to get club members involved is offer incentive prizes. For each event that a club member does, offer them an incentive point towards an array of prizes like sunglasses, earbuds, gift cards, and t-shirts. Each level of prize could be a different point amount and throughout the school year as each level is passed, the club member would get their prize as they did tasks for the club. Another rejuvenating way to get members involved with club activities is to have competitions between groups or classes. A friendly competition with a prize motivates club members to get their jobs done and get more involved. Keeping students and club members involved in club activities can be a difficult task but it’s important to keep in mind every club member will not be able to make every event. Allowing students to pick what they want to be involved in is the best key to success for total involvement within the club!
